About AMALTHIA®
In Greek mythology, Amalthia was the nurse of Zeus in the Idaean Cave, where his mother Rhea hid him to save him from his father Cronus, who devoured his children. Amalthia is described either as a Hyad nymph or as a goat whose horn nourished Zeus with milk and honey.
The AMALTHIA® trademark was registered in 1997. The original idea and implementation belong to Vasilis Miriokefalitakis from Rethymno, Crete, who first developed the product to address his own hair loss. Production began with the pure natural olive oil and wild onion soap for hair loss care. The range was later enriched with hand and body cream, moisturizing and anti-wrinkle face creams, eye cream and men's cream. In 2012, the SPF30 sunscreen was added.
Our products are available in many pharmacies and organic product stores throughout Greece, and are exported to Cyprus, Germany, England, the USA and Japan.
